Mission Statement
To improve the oral health of the community by addressing health disparities and inequities in dental treatment and education. The goal of the clinic includes identifying those residing in Mercer County who are in need of oral health care due to lack of financial resources and the inability to find a provider in a timely manner. Consideration will be given to all patients and factors to be considered will include the immediate nature of the problem I.e. pain swelling and function.
Why this work matters
The clinic grew from years of community collaboration around unmet dental needs. Today, partners and volunteers are helping create more consistent access to care while relieving pain and restoring function for local residents. By offering a holistic approach to patient care, we seek to ensure that those in our community who are most vulnerable have access to essential oral health services. Our goal is to deliver not just treatment but also education, empowering patients to maintain their dental health long-term.

How the process works
- Contact Link the Valley. A navigator will begin the screening process and explain what information is needed.
- Complete eligibility screening. Mercer County residency and Medicaid information are used to help verify eligibility. Medicaid is not billed for services.
- Receive an initial dental assessment. The clinic will determine whether the need is within its service scope and what should happen next.
- Follow scheduling instructions. Appointments depend on the availability of participating dental professionals. There are no public clinic hours or walk-in appointments.
Where is the clinic?
The Community Dental Clinic is located at 3041 Innovation Way, Hermitage, PA 16148. It operates inside another dental office but has a separate schedule and process. The host office’s public hours are not Community Dental Clinic hours.
What care is available?
The clinic focuses on urgent and ongoing dental needs that affect pain, swelling, function, and quality of life. Services are provided free to eligible patients.
The clinic does not provide routine examinations, impacted wisdom-tooth treatment, or root canals.
